I saw those on Adventure Motostuff (http://www.amotostuff.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=70856&Category_Code=dl650_electrical) and was wondering about the actual benefit in increase light in front of the bike.
I've had experiences in the past (cars) where the output of the light was indeed much whiter, but the amount of light (lumens) was less than the standard halogen bulbs. Thus, the net result was less darkness penetration in front of the vehicle.
Anybody uses those on their bike? I drive in the desert at night, and on a cloudy moonless night it gives a new meaning to 'dark'... I don't want to install aux lights (...yet).
Thakns,
Rich
