I took the original Suzuki seat plate, cut off the "hump" and took it to a guy that makes saddles and seats. After a few hours of testing and grinding foam, it fits my butt perfectly. (And it gave me 2 inches more leg room.)

That looks quite comfortable. How does it affect carrying a passenger?

I don't know. Never tried to ride the bike with a passenger. I suppose it would be rather uncomfortable for the pillion. My wife's got a bike of her own ( a BMW R 1200 R) so it's not a problem. But - I've got a Sargent Worldsport seat as well, so if I have to carry a passenger I can use that seat.

that does look nice, and my girl's butt would fit onthe back but if her butt was as big as your top case, then there would be a problem

I did about the same thing. I went to a local seat cover shop and had the guy squar up the sides to make the seat wider, move the bump back one inch, raise the drivers part one inch, use firm foam, and make it as flat as possible.

It cost $124 and is perfect. 850 mile days are piece of cake. and there is still room on the back for my wife.
