Just wanted to let you all know about the Triangle Ride 4 Kids Ride. The ride is Sunday, May 4th 2008 at the White Oak Recreation area at Jordan Lake. It is a 45 min to 1hr loop ride beginning and ending at White Oak Recreation area, and the ride raises funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Were trying to reach our goal of 1000 bikes this year, so come out and join the fun!!! We are also looking for more day of ride volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, just shoot me a PM or email. If you are unable to attend and would like to donate to this wonderful foundation, click on the link below to donate through my fundraising webpage. Check the webpage out anyways and tell me what you think. Take care!!!

I am going to try and make this one. I read your page, great to hear your brother is going to be able to ride this year. I can understand how happy and yet anxious that could make the family feel. But he has a brother who knows how to ride and do it the safeway. Tell him we are all behind him!

Do I have any fellow stromtroopers coming to the ride? I guarantee you that it will be one of the most organized, most enjoyable charity rides that you will ever ride in. Plus you will help us reach our 1000 bike goal. Come ride with us!!! :-)

Take care,
Fletch

For those who are coming to the ride, make sure you stop and say hello. I will wear my yellow suzuki ball cap so you guys can pick me out of the crowd.

For those that are unable to attend the ride this year, I ask you to consider donating through my fundraising website. Thanks!

For those that were able to make it out to the ride today, I hope you had a great time! I surely did!

The total $ raised today for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation was
$138,000.00. We didn't make our 1000 bike goal again for this year, but ended up having around 500 bikes I believe. We blew our fundraising goal of $110,000 out of the water which was awesome. The column of bikes had to be at least 5 miles long. It gave me chills to see that many people come out for this great cause.

Bring a friend or two with you next year!

I did not make it back in town in time. It is good to hear the goal was surpassed though. Give me a shout when you want to do some riding.

Dang! I really wanted to do this but I was sick on Saturday morning and in no shape to ride. Oh well. Next time. Sounds like it was a blast!
