These are the 690 supermoto mirrors ($28.00 each). I was gonna go with the Duke mirror's also untill I seen these. I will try and get some better pics next week when I get them installed.
KTM wanted $17.00 a piece for the adapters. So I ordered these in black from Dennis Kirk ($5.00 for a set of 2). - http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=392807&store=Main&catId=&productId=p392806&leafCatId=&mmyId=
Update 2/20/08 Get the KTM adapters. Adapters from Dennis Kirk would not work.

I actually like yours better than the Duke mirrors that I have. I like the "angles", as I think it matches the V-Strom front angles better.
I can't say enough about these mirrors!!!
Wider and lower to the handlebars = no more view of my shoulder. Rock solid too. Hell, even the mirror itself has three screws to increase the pressure of the "ball and socket" rotation.
Good Choice!!!

Thanks BTD. I was gonna get the Duke mirrors myself untill I seen these. I thought same as you with the angles. Funny thing was they didn't have these in stock, So the guy took them off a bike on the showroom floor and sold them to me.

Got the adapters today. Don't know if its me or what, But the adapters from Dennis Kirk would not work. So I bit the bullet and went back to KTM for the adapters ($24 pair). Mirrors are now mounted and look good. I will try and post pics this weekend. Hope this helps some of you save time in the future if you go this route.
Cost
KTM Mirrors $56.00 pair
KTM Adapters $24.00 pair
Total $80.00

Its been a while since you posted anything about the new supermoto mirrors. I was thinking about getting new mirrors for my Vee. Do you still happy with these mirrors? They are a lot more $$ than the mirrors swingset and mtnhead purchased (see thread)

Several riders have suggested that the stock mirrors contribute to the awful turbulence on the Wee. Wonderin' if these mirrors improved it for you ... ?

Those look good. I went a slightly different route, but still KTM mirrors. Someone on advrider was selling the type you find on the 640 adventure/625SXC and SMC. They have a knuckle to adjust the angle of the mirror stalk. He had two lengths. The longer ones really reach out there. They are more "utilitarian" looking, but I don't mind that at all. They really let me see what's going on. I can even see behind me! They're not terribly expensive and don't require any adapters either. I'll get pictures up soon.

I had the original Duke mirrors on mine for about two years now. These are the second version of the Duke mirror and are the current mirrors on the SuperDuke, SE and Supermoto 950 / 990 and 690
They all use the same KTM adapter mounts. These newer ones that are more angular are a little wider and larger than the original version.
I like these the best.

Please do post up the pics. I was thinking about buying some of these. I would like to find some from the newer BMW R1200 GS. The round ones. They look good. I found them for 75 bucks a piece!
Travislj, did you find thes locally or internet ?

I sat on a 1200 GS and liked those mirrors too. These are normally ~$35-40 each but this guy (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357336&highlight=mirrors) has them for $29 each. These are the 280mm version:

Yardstick,
thanks for being quick in posting the photos.
There no mention of you having to buy the KTM adapter mount or use those mounts for these mirrors... is that right? Did you notice any wind buffering changes since you installed these mirrors ?

No problem. Those mirrors do not require adapters. They threaded right into the Suzuki mounts (I didn't know that when I bought them, so I got pleasantly surprised). I haven't had it on the freeway with those mirrors yet, so I can't comment on any buffeting changes. I'll do a little ride Sunday and see some freeway so I can let you know after that.
BTW... I noticed you were looking at the mirrors from the "Cheap mirror upgrade!" thread. These KTM mirrors are replacing a set of those that the previous owner put on. I could never get the cheap mirrors to adjust quite right. One also had horrible distortion at the edge of the mirror.

Thanks for the pics. I also noticed that it looked like you didn't have the stock bar mounts. It looks like a whole different top clamp. What kind is it? Also, do the have clear vue at high RPMs?
Thanks again.

Up to freeway speeds (and slightly beyond... :devil_16:) the mirrors worked perfectly. They're not hard to adjust so I figured they might fold at high speed, but they didn't. The view was very clear. Surprisingly clear, actually. There's no more vibration in the mirrors than what you get in the rest of the bike. I didn't notice any changes in buffeting, but these replaced some aftermarket mirrors so I'm not familiar with how bad it is with the stockers.
The bar mounts are 1" up, 1" back risers. I'm not sure of the brand. They came with the bike.
