St Louis native will be down in Memphis this weekend, any one up for a ride near memphis? MotorcycleRoads.com has some nice routes near by, near Natchez trace parkway. Looking to do couple hundred saturday morning, then the same on sunday.

I could be available Sunday morning. (Gotta work at around 4pm)

The best roads (that I've found) near Memphis run generally north along the river. I'd be happy to lead the way. Maybe I can get a couple more to join us.

On the other hand, a loop into northern Mississippi is fun.

Ride along the river in STL all the time, hope you have nice bluffs as well. Getting in to town Friday night, will keep checking site for replies, a small group would be nice.

I might be around Saturday... but I'm not sure. Sunday should be fine before 4pm.

Planning for both days but saturday is the beaut of the two. Working on getting the heated grips installed tonight for the drive down. Been riding to work daily down to 8f but only for 10 miles, so distance might be the difference. Riding for hours at freezing temps might suck. Hands are the only part that notices it with all the layers I wear. But will come one way or another for girlfriends business trip. Will PM with phone number.

As far as weather, both days are forecast to be near 60 and sunny.

Saturday is looking unlikely for me, but we can plan on Sunday morning, if you'd like. I'll give you a ring... would like to know where you're staying and such. I can meet you somewhere and show you some great twisties. You'll have to excuse me if I take you back north a bit though. :D

Sheesh, I didn't even notice I had a PM until you said something. Replied with contact number. See you Sunday.

Good ride today, if a bit cold. I don't know about the others, but I started to get a chill after a few hours.

Here we are right after lunch. Five '05 650s.

Jamie, thanks for setting up such a nice ride up the MRT. Most of us had an oh crap moment when turning onto a side road and hitting small patch of sand/gravel, no one lost it. Ride up 51 to 412, temp started dropping quick. Had to stop every 60 miles at beginning, then every 30 at end, to warm up. Second to last stop, gas cap froze after filling, could not unlock to close tank. Luckily the station attendant had some lock deicer in car and was nice enough to let me use a little. 22f at station. Got back on road, and kept going on home. Left foot was almost frozen, and hands were a little cold, but survived. 15f at home, freezing. Didnt stop me from riding in this morning to work...
