Has anyone bought the Suzuki heated grips for the V-Strom? Any tips or tricks to installing them? I ordered a pair, on sale, from Oneida for my 650.

Hi

I've got them, no complaints. Easy to install. a) call the dealer b) order parts c) get dealer to install d) ride in cold weather

Cheers.

I installed them myself. Just plug in the wires but I had a tough time locating the wires behind the radiator. Its a nice setup once installed. Seems like my throttle grip runs hotter than my left grip for some reason. Its also easy to change the heat settings during a ride.

Same thing here, it's a noticeable difference. Unsure why.

Throttle sides run hotter because of the insulating throttle sleeve. The trick is to insulate the other side and perhaps use a bigger throttle side grip on the left as well. Some people use duct take, a couple layers for the insulator.
