Suzuki, When you make the next generation V-Strom, could you put it through a wind tunnel next time? The aerodynamics on the bike are pitiful!
And please leave the full stink SV650 motor in it next time.

Suzuki, unless you are coming out with an 800cc version that weighs the same or less and has the bountiful low end torque please don't change the motor to the SV650 motor.

Interesting aerodynamics, to say the least. This is the only bike I've ever ridden where my long braid of hair flies in front of me! :confused:

No SV motor, 800 cc or better with mega midrange and good low end grunt. 8 gal fuel tank and tubeless spoked rims and standard equipment bash plate and engine guards. What I'm talkin' about here is a GS killer.

How bout a motorized button control windshield for starts............a new mega cc version 1250; heated seat option with better handguards; 7 gallon min. fuel tank that goes into the frame rather up high to lower gravity; std. hard side cases and top case; skid plate and crash bars; 21" front wheel with 17" rear is fine; electrically operated front shocks and rear shock at the push of a button to stiffen the ride for what ever you are riding at the time without having to get off the bike with tools to adj. the front andf hand dial the rear; 3 additional fused outlets for accessories; and hey...............do all this for around $10K OTD!

I would buy one then for sure over my intended next purchase of a Connie 1400!

Funny, I've owned 11 different bikes, including a r1150rt, and I have no complaints about the VStrom's "aerodynamics".

Mine's not too bad till I put the E41's on then the wind just gets weird:confused:

If my hair was more than .01" long I'll bet it would also fly forward as Footlooses' does.

No offense V-Tom, but have you ridden an SV650? My riding partner has one and it Mondo stronger than mine, including the low-end power. Compared to mine it feels like an 800.

My Wee is a victim of the same de-tuning dumbasses who took 20hp off my old Magna (from the VFR it was parted from). If my Wee is "re-tuned" for low end torque, why does the SV murder mine at ANY rpm in a roll on?

Don't try to tell me it's the 40 extra pounds. I weigh 100 pound more than my buddy, and when we switch bikes, the SV still walks the Wee. BADLY.

I have no complaints at all about the aerodynamics. But mine had the Suzuki tall windscreen on it when I bought it, so I've never had the complete stock experience. I did find the floppiness of the tall screen to be annoying and decided to do what many around here have done, which is get the Givi screen and the Madstad bracket. With this set up it is hands down the best aerodynamics of any bike I've ridden.
