The V-Strom needs a louder horn. This will improve safety.
By the way, does Suzuki actually read these posts?

So vstrom is not perfect :) I am in the market looking for a second flow cost fun/city bike. I would have to do all the stuff I did to my Triumph.
I added a pair of CHROME HORN SET MODEL 225-2T / 112 Decibels-400/500HZ to my Triumph from http://www.wolo-mfg.com/elec.htm
You need to draw a hot wire from the battery (or other hot hire) to a relay and an inline fuse (both from Radio Shack). You connect the relay on/off leads to the existing horn button and switch leads the other part to the horns.
These are loud as car horns if not louder. One of the best mods I ever made.

I installed a 139db Stebel dual air horn this weekend. Now THAT'S a horn. Only $35 at Twisted Throttle.
