WOWOWOWOWO There's a freakin home run. How in the world could you get this critter's head in focus?

That shot looks Photoshopped. Tell me it isn't so :-)
I am of the cheap lenses 5.6 300MM ilk. What were your settings on this shot? PS I hope you had a nice lunch at the Green Iguana. I like that place.
I got a good pelican shot last year

Still at the hotel (12:00ish on Tuesday) have a 3:00 flight.
Shot some more today, will upload those in the same gallery. I am looking forward to smoking one of the cigars I bought when I get home (don't tell my cardiologist!)
That particular shot was just slightly cropped. no photo shop to it, pure skill. :)
Actually, those bird shots are hard to get, but I did shoot about 100 frames and got about 4 good ones, which is usually my ratio.
I tried to capture the EXIF data for you, but the wi-fi I am using isn't allowing me to do stuff properly.
As always, more later. Oh, and it is too freakin' hot in this state!!!!!
I saw on the host that was 200mm f11 at 250 shutter speed. Awesome shot. Congrats!
In regards to the weather, this month is kind of like your February. Next month it will start to cool off and we'll be riding motorcycles and bicycles every weekend in the 60s-80s until next June. Once the overnight lows drop into the 60s (which it almost is) it's fun time around here.
If you do things outdoors July-Sept, you better be finished by noon. That's kind of my rule. If you like to sleep late on the weekends, summers down here will make you a vampire :-)
