Just installed the Audiovox CCS-100 cruise control on my '06 wee and it works great. I did not however attach the bead chain coming to the rear throttle linkage coming from the rear of the bike, as a few have done. I chose to route the cable from the servo forward on the left side of the bike, and curve back to the right side terminating on the brace between the two bodies, and simply connected the bead chain right to the rear throttle body linkage without drilling. I just popped off the linkage rod to the rear throttle, and put the bead chain adapter on that post, and popped it back on. The other instructions that were posted by Roy Bertalotto were followed with no problems. The cruise control is still just a hair bit "surgy" under 50mph, even with the gain on the the lowest setting, but works great at speeds 60-80.

the key to the surge is being in a higher gear when engaging, and for you all who are interested in doing this I highly recommend it.

Mine will hold 40mph in 6th nicely at about 3000rpm. I've seen people reporting problems under 3000rpm. Keep it at 3000rpm or above. It's a two cylinder motorcycle not a multi cylinder car. A DL1000 with a good fuel air mixture can do 2500rpm pretty easily but the DL650 needs at least 3000rpm for those two little pistons to be happy. 5000 rpm brings even more joy at the expense of some fuel.
