I live in the West Palm Beach area. I've put on 16,000 miles on my 02' 1000. All in Florida over the last 2 years.

I live in Jacksonville and have a 2003 V-Strom.I also have a 96 KLR 65O which I ride to Ocala National Forest sometimes.

Yes, it is a blue 02'. I do have a set of bags but rarely use them. I live in Wellington and take it to work 2-3 days a week.

I ride mine from Jupiter to central Broward county for work about half of the month. I rode home last week on the turnpike in that hellashius storm last week.

You are braver than I. I feel like I've become an amateur weather forcaster just to avoid those situations. Last week I went on a good ride all the way around the lake. It takes about 3 hours from West palm. Let me know if you want to go any Sunday or Thursday...

i'm in central florida. winter haven actually. dont own a strom yet but hope to be parkin one under the shed within a month. after months of research, watchin all the strom troopers posts and askin a few questions the strom has won out. have found an 04 1k thats a demo. any of u florida riders had any unresolvable issues with the runnin lean, back farting at lower rpms?

I have an Yellow 03, purchased it in 04 with 1300 miles, after 6 months off with surgery I now have 4500 miles and never, (also split time with a Electric Glide Classic) never had any problem like the ones posted on the board.

Hi, I'm a 05 red with 5800 miles in Orlando. My friend has a blue DL1000. If there is a meet and greet in Palatka, will he be allowed in?

I learned, too late that the meet is on a work day, for me. I hope to go as on the next. I've incidently managed to create a 200 mile loop of good roads from downtown Orlando, to Moss Bluff and back. I start at 6:30-7:00 Sunday mornings and am usually back by 12:00-1:00p. I prefer to ride alone since I set and keep the right pace for me. I can alter the route to go through the forrest on some dirt (sand) if I feel like it. No more than a few miles though. How about 315 south from St. AUgustine to Inverness? Anyone else done this great 15 mile stretch? 8) [/b]

never heard of 318...i searched for it on my GPS and got an exit ramp of 95...

Mule, we missed you on the ride. just to get to the last ride from Inverness we took 315 from Ocala, have rode it several times and it is a great ride.
We may not have the NC mountains down here but we have plenty on great riding and get to do it year round, Get with Vicstrom for the next one, I think he is planing around january sometime. Hope to see you there.

Where did you get a DL100? Does it look like the DL1000, only smaller. :lol:

The DL100 is the new version (wee) of the wee-strom. So now you have a wee-wee strom. Kinda like one of the little piggies that went wee wee all the way home. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I'm free most every day. Leaving on the 7th for Xmas up north with the kids and grandkids (hopefully) and Daughter's graduation (MBA). We will be back evening of the 12th. Wife has surgery on the 13th. I'm busier than I thought. Of course we have this week and early next week and then the rest of the year. I think I have your phone number, I'll call you.
