I wanted a Vee, ABS; but, I guess that aint happening.
So, I am also seriously considering the ABS version, Bandit 1250S.
The options available are interesting:

I am liking the lower fairing, side bags and top case.
Suzuki seems to be throwing their support behind this bike.
OR
I just might be in the mood for something different.
The other 2 bikes on my list are the Yamaha FJR1300 and the new Kawi Concours 14.

The new Bandit has gotten awesome reviews from just about everybody, and that new Concours looks very nice. I looked and ogled over both, but when it comes down to the line, for me, the Strom is just the best of both, and then some. The Bandit seems like it would be to easy to get in trouble with, and the more hunched riding position on the Concours doesn't look good, to me, for extended riding times, and neither can go offroad(well they could, but its not recommended).
Edit: I just looked at the link after I posted and that luggage set looks sweet.

Hi SpongeBob,
I hear you about the Strom being the best of both worlds but what can you do. The Big Vee (with or without ABS) seems to be history. I think the Vee, in its price range, is hard to duplicate. I don't see much --in that class-- for a decent price.
Are you thinking that the power of the Bandit could get you into trouble? That 100 lbs. of torque at around 3700 rpms is massive. That power could also get you out of trouble and make for safer passing, especially on the highway.
The 3 things that I really want (above and beyond my dl650) are shaft drive, ABS, more power, better highway riding(at least like the Vee ,IMO). I could live without the shaft drive but the other options are more important to me.
Maybe the BMW F 800 GS will be out soon. That's a possible.

Hey GooseYArd,
Thanks for the tip.
I searched the internet and found this picture of the Versys 1000. Very nice, IMO.

They are saying that this is in response to the Tiger 1050. I think it is much better looking than the Tiger. This is the link to site:

I sat on a new Bandit at the dealer today. Wow does that thing feel tiny after riding nothing but the Strom for the last 3 years.
