My "V-Strom 996" decals

I'm spending the summer bringing back a somewhat un-loved 'Strom 1000 that I found on eBay. One of the things the DPO did was remove the "V-Strom" stickers from the fairing. That's OK, but aesthetically it looks like a lot of blank real estate, so I wanted to break it up a bit. I think the OEM stickers are too big and kinda cheap, so I went to my sign guy and he whipped out these. I downsized the "V-Strom" about 30% and chose a more muted greyish, then added the very subtle "996" in an effort to steal some of the thunder from my buddy who recently picked up a Ducati 996. I think I like it...

Very nice.
I found some small V-Strom decals in the same color on ebay but they are much smaller. I think I will take a trip down to the local sign shop and see what they can do.
