Here's the plan:

I have a bags connection Daypack II

I am going to start with one of these powerlet tankbag kits:

My plan is to try and mount it under the bag towards the front. (Trying to get sparks as close to my gas as possible :-D ) If it's to tight, I'll move it to the side or rear.

I am adding one of these powerlet accessories to the inside of the bag:

Then, I ordered a 25 foot battery tender extension cable for about 5 bucks. I am going to cut it in half.

I am going to thread it under my tank bra and down under the seat to my blue seas fuse box. When I am not using the cable (which will be rarely) I can tuck it back under the bra.

I suppose if I got really ambitious, I could take a 1.5 inch strip of soft material and sew it down the center/underside of the bra as a "channel" for the cable. Then, you could tuck it back down into the channel as a "pouch" when not in use. However, I don't think it will be that abrasive or prone to much chafing.

I think it will be a nice clean way to get a couple of power drops in my tank bag. There will be no wiring up around the handlbars to clutter things up or get in the way.

There is probably a way to do it cheaper but the powerlet stuff looks like decent quality connections. I'll post pictures after I get all the pieces.

If you purchase the Powerlet PTB-004 kit (http://www.powerletproducts.com/products/ptb.php) it comes with a cable to run from the bulkhead fitting on the bag direct to your fuse box under the seat.
You cannot mount the bulkhead UNDER the bag it must go on one of the vertical sides because the fittings that connect to it on the outside run vertical from the bulkhead and would not work underneath a bag unless you want it to stick up 3" in the air.

Sounds good but I'd be leary of running wires under the tank bra. The bra fits very tight and I'd be concerned that the cable would would leave rub marks on the tank. Just a thought.

You may consider runnig the outlet out the back of the bag if your going directly to the battery, then from there back under the seat. I don't think it would hinder your riding position and would be out of the way of the elements. I too am not sure about under the bag, it may also be a PITA during refueling.
