Here is one of my install projects.

If only we could find an unglued tailight configuration, this install would be a hell of a lot easier...

Now I'm about 5 times brighter, combine that with the crisp LED ramp up and my tailight modulator for a serious visibility enhancement. An added bonus is the decreased electrical load.

Do you happen to have any pictures of your new set-up?

Because of the lower voltage draw, do you need to add a load resistor to prevent the system from thinking you have a broken bulb? I ran into that with another bike when I replaced the blinkers with LEDs. The blinkers would blink fast or not at all.

Not to bust your chops, but like I posted on ADVrider: Instead of chopping up the lens, have you tried the direct LED replacement bulbs? They are brighter than a standard bulb and there is no cutting or muss and fuss.

And, if you use a red tinted LED bulb, rather than white, it's even brighter.

The Radiantz 1.85" will not fit through the stock holes, and I figured that if I was going to spend money on LEDs, I might as well get the best ones out there. If you ever see Radiantz LEDs, you'll know why I wanted them.

I saw somewhere that Luxeon LED's are making their way into car replacement bulbs. 1, 3 and one day, 5w LED's, and many arrays into taillights will be NUTS!
I've been working on designing a 3-4 LED turnsignal pods using the 3 watt Amber Luxeons.

Couldn't see me turn eh? here, stare into the turnsignal a bit more...
