I need to learn to convert between inches(?) and centimeters, Im Swede:)
You write it like this - 5'7" - 5 is what and 7 is what? And what is each of them in centimeters?
Im 183 centimeter tall, whats that in X'X''?
Often when for instance discussing if one can flat foot a V-Strom you also often talk about "inseam", what is it and why important in this aspect?

I'll help out. I'm bilingual in measurement systems (Metric and English). In your example the 5 is feet and the 7 is inches.

Conversions: 1 inch equals 2.54 centimeters. There are 12 inches per foot so 1 foot equals 30.48 centimeters.

Inseam is a measurement tailors use to measure leg length. It goes from the crotch to hem of your pants.

You can convert from English units to Metric units with google. For instance:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=5+ft+7+inches+in+centimeters&btnG=Search

You do have to know that ' means feet and " means inches. Also, there are 12 inches in a foot, so 5'7" is actually 67 inches. So 67 inches is 170cm or 1.7m.

"inseam" is a measurement used for pants, especially jeans. It is (roughly) the length from your crotch to your ankle. If you were standing up, this measurement would indicate how tall of an object (such as a motorcycle) you could straddle. Very important with the v-strom due to the tall height of this bike.

Hope this helps,
