This didn't take too much thought, but the result is awesome. Get a 1" L-angle bracket, widen the hole slightly so it fits the madstad bolt, and tighten. If you can't see it clearly, the thermometer is mounted on the madstad's top bolt.

Thanks.
What thermometer did you use?
Got a rider's eye view?

It's a Formotion LumiGlow thermometer. I really like to know the temps. Sitting in traffic tonight it got up to 100 degrees.

Did knowing the temperature make it better or worse? :-D

I'm not sure it makes it "better or worse" to know the temperature... unless say if the temperature is right around freezing...

I like that! Very clean!

Where'd you pick that little thing up? All I can find online are places selling them for $45... the hell if I'm paying $45 for a thermometer.

Well...it's better for when you're telling a story, but worse when you don't have anyone to tell. LOL

The stick-on version can be had here for $26: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?Category_ID=67&manufacturer_ID=139&product_ID=24143&model_ID=0

I forked over $47 at a J&P Cycles store mostly because that's all they had. In a way it's not so bad because it took a couple moves to find the right spot.
