Roanoke area rides?

Does anyone have some suggestions for rides in the Roanoke, VA area besides 311 & BRP

Have you tried maps.google.com? They have a new feature that allows you to put in multple destinations and if you don't like the route you can pull the route line to another road. That said, as soon as you clear Roanoke you have rides up the ying-yang - I love it down there....some of the best parts of the BRP from north of RT 60 to MP1 - you have to go deep into NC before it gets that nice again.


Beside the link below - a little warm up ride really, there is Bent mountain on 221 and Rt 42 anywhere is pretty darn good. RT 43 is a lot of fun. both sides of the BRP.

Try 221 South to 58E to 57 NE to Union Bridge Rd (346N ) Left on Henry, Right on 40, left on Ferrum Mt Road back to 221.
