Just looked at the first 3 video's, that's the kind of stuff I love to do, either solo or with mates.
I will drool over the others when I get a chance. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome stuff RS. Sat and watched them 1 after the other.
What sort of mounting did you use for the camera, while on the run? I noticed one angle, that looked to far for a RAM arm off a crash bar...(my current method).
Maybe one day, when you get some time, you could put together a bit of a list of the gear you used/took. Reading these forums, some people can get good ideas out of others wisdom.
Thanks again for letting us all share the journey.
Cheers

You Aussies rock! I'd give my left testicle for a chance to ride down under then slip over to New Zealand for a pilgrimage to Burt Munro's shack and a good look around. Good on ya, mate! Ride her till the wheels fall off.

Hi Adam,
This is brilliant stuff.
What type of air compressor did you use and where did you get it? Can it connect direct to the battery or did you need and power outlet?
Many thanks,
Dougal.

Nice one Adam! You must have had a blast! Good footage mate!
Aahhh, the old, leave the wallet on the payphone trick. I did similar, but it was the old, leave your passport at a bank in Cairo and then get hauled off a bus hundreds of miles a way by aggressive gypo border guards who think it's a good idea to shout at you while waving their AK47's at you.
Do you get much of the bulldust that the NT is reknowned for? And how much of what you are doing would be suitable for 2up with Trailwings?

I got the air compressor from.... Kmart!.... yep, its called an AirMan and it just fits under the seat. it only cost $20 but I think that was an error 'cause the lable said $39. It worked a treat. Come with alligattor clips but I cut them off and put and Acc plug on as I hate the thought of the + clip shorting on the frame. It is available as a cordless item but extra weight for no real benifit for us bikers.
Gets the rear from 21psi to 28psi in less than a min.

Got a bit of Bulldust between Cordillo Downs & Qld boarder but nothing to bad. The sand on the old track through to Cordillo (not the main road) was the worst and I couldn't do it 2up.
I wouldn't do this trip on trailwings, they are just to road orientated, next time I'll use a Karoo on the front and a Anakee on the rear, this will give the traction in the loose stuff and still be ok on the tar for 10 000ks, the karoo rear is stuffed after 5700k but the front is still good. I was very conservative on the tyres on the tar but the rear still wore heavly.
2up.... well, you would have to travel very light and I would recoment you do a bit of 2up practice in sand, because you really need to stand up and the pillion might not like 5000ks of looking up your sphincter. That said, if you stick to the main roads ie Strezlecki, Birdsville, Flinders, it would be Ok because there is not much sand (if any) on these tracks.
