I like the look of the busa - and the raw power is lustful. However, I know better than to own one and not buy a racetrack with it.

A little vague on the power, but 11% increase could be 185-200 hp depending on what you consider the old bikes starting point was.
WOW thats got to toast some tires.
I had a ZZR1100 and thought it was fast, this thing must be brutal.
The fact that hyper performance bikes like this and the ZX14 can be sold for $12,000 boggles my mind.
I just bought a Orange and Black 2008. that i want to outfit into a long distance touring machine.

There is a Busa on YouTube that the guy pops the front tire off the ground at 50 mph and then sets it back down at 140 mph! It is just that brutal! I knew a guy that had one and he said to ride one is to have a death wish at the same time.
I could only imagine the flick of the throttle on this machine!

It would be so cool if Suzuki would do with the 'Busa like Kawi did with the ZX-14/Concours.:cool::cool:

When I dropped my bike off at the dealer for service I took a peek at the beast. The salesman that sold me the DL1000 told me "104 in first and five more to go" !!! I'll pass.
I just had bike delivered.

It looks fast just sitting there.
Here is a pic
Sweet bike and in the color I like too. I'd really like to get one soon. They can be modded to make the more comforable for sport touring. Sure would be fun.

Suzuki doesn't have a program where you could lease them by the month. I figure I might get as much as two months before I'm down to my last point on the driver's license, assuming I lived that long. Nebraska has some long, straight, lonely stretches of Interstate, and the cops have nothing but radios that could keep up with a 'Busa. Thought about buying one, but I don't think I can hack the depreciation from two months of ownership. But if the doctor ever tells me I have only six months to live....

I like the way you think, Jimding.

Whenever I say something like "Honey, I'm gonna get me a 'Busa," my wife says 'yeah, RIGHT' and follows it up with THAT LOOK.
(anyone with a s/o knows the look I mean ... it's the one that says 'don't even think about it, buddy, or crashing at high speed will be the least of your worries.)

In Oklahoma the cops do have something that can keep up with a Hayabusa.

Nah that is probably in stock form...new busa will eat it up. Take a new busa with pipes, K&N and a PCIII....and it is REALLY lights out!!! Of course you can't outrun the radio and helicopters.
I like the bags on O.H.P Busa.
They are Corbins they fit the First Gen HAYABUSA.
Not yet available for the Second Gen HAYABUSA.
Would be a nice set up for my Grand Touring HAYABUSA.
Here's some good information on the 2008 and using a PCIII with it. It appears that for exhaust (Yoshimura R-77 only one test so far) and air filter mods the stock ECU does a good job of adjusting itself. Dang I'd like to have an orange/black 2008.

One web page shows the top speed of a Jet Ranger as 220 KMH, or about 136 MPH. A 'Busa will probably outdo that in third. The MD 500 shows 175 MPH, which a healthy 'Busa will still top. Of course, a modded one will easily top 200. Just have to get that radio jammer, and a long straight road.

I took my wife's Busa to work one day. Since I work only 2.5 miles from home, it was kinda like delivering mail in a funny car.
