All, just got a used GPS(Garmin2620) couple weeks ago. Works great in the car, works like crap on the bike. When is on my bike, it will reset itself after some time, and the maps will not come back on or it will give an error that maps are not found or it will reset it self again. When i stop, or slow down to city traffic speeds, maps will lock-on and everything will be fine until few minutes later. At first it looked like once i got to a high speed, GPS will reset itself, however i tested in the car and it that was not the case. As far as the 12V power outlet is under the seat with an extention running to GPS and hiding in the tankbag. I am thinking that maybe the power outlet is loosing its power when riding, but i dont know how to tested, any ideas? I know that Garmin2620 has the hard drive and i thought that maybe rough road was tripping it, however that it not a case in the car(or i wasnt able to duplicate the problem in the car). Does anybody had similiar issue or am i missing something? Currently i had PCIII, fuse block and 12V power outlet connected straight to the battery and Starcom to the fuse block. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
