Time to start planning for the Strom Get-Together East V. It will take place the weekend of 28 April 2005 - 1 May 2005. Primary location will be at the Iron horse Motorcycle Lodge located in Stecoah, NC. Website: http://www.ironhorsenc.com/ This is 24 miles East of Deals Gap just off Highway 28. GPS coordinates: N35 23.358 W83 40.665.
Charlene is holding all rooms for us until the end of March. They have slightly increased their prices since our stay last year, but we get last years prices.
All cabins have four rooms & two baths. Cabin rooms are available with one queen or two double beds. The rooms on the creek side with porch are $65 per night and the non-creek side are $50 per night.
There are also a couple of lodge rooms with private bath at $80 per night. They have double beds.
All rooms are priced for an occupancy of two. Additional persons are $15 per night.
There is also a bunkhouse with five twin beds, includes sheets, blanket, pillow & towels at $18 per night.
RV & trailer sites with water & electricity are $20 per night.
Tent camping is $15 per night. Nice bath house.
New feature, wireless internet and a PC in the Pavilion.
Breakfast and dinner is available. Prices and food good.
There will be group rides Friday & Saturday. Probably several directions each day.
I am planning a special dinner for either Friday or Saturday evening. Frogmore Stew (low country broil). If you don't like fresh Charleston scrimp there will be something else available.
Hope to see a bunch of you there for a good time and the best of riding.
