I was at the AAA planning my trip to Reno and I saw a book called "Backcountry Adventures: Southern California" by Peter Massey - ISBN: 978-1-930193-26-0. It is a description of about 50 trails that are appropriate for 4WD vehicles so I figured these might be good for a newbie trail rider on a V-strom. I would want some company if I were to go exploring off the beaten path. Anybody interested?

Heavy on the newbie part... with the exception of about 1/2 mile of power line road I have never been off road with this thing. When, where and how long (have to buy time from the wife and kids)

It wasent all that bad. The thing is, I was so worried about dropping the damn thing, I forgot to have fun! When im on the street, its just me and my bike having fun. Im not stressing the road. Its more enjoyable for me. Im sure I would enjoy a CRB-250 or something like that off road, but not the big Wee.
