I'm looking for some information on what happens when you make various suspension setting changes. I wanted to add some preload to the rear and now I have the issue where the steering pulls when I make slow speed turns. I can feel a slight tug in the handlebars as I lean the bike over.
What I'm looking for is a list of "if you do x, then y will happen". And also, if you crank the rear preload all the way without adjusting anything on the front, you can expect what?
I've read a few things so far but those articles were all too concerned with rebound damping and other esoterica. I just want the basics.
Oh yeah. Why did I want add rear preload? I'm a heavy guy, ~255lbs. I felt that the bike was squatting at the back under acceleration. Is adding preload the right thing to do? Did I add too much? I'm at 4 now.
