hope the moderator of the day reads this: could we change "Houston" to "Texan" ? I have been trying to muster a headcount of Texas strombats but there are a few in each forum and no critical mass.

yes it is, but too darn many people have found out. the rate of construction near here is astronomical, so, once again, I'm thinking of moving a 'little' bit further west... maybe junction is still pretty quiet!
Its really a frustrating thing to watch: I just read an editorial letter where a lady was voicing what so many found. it was like "we moved here for some rustic beauty and quiet.... now the zoning is changing, the municipalities are greedy for more tax money, annexation happens, huge housing developments get thrown together. waaaahhhhhhh"

Yeah, I was really surprised to see the encroachment of New Braunfels as compared to a few short years ago. Gruene will be just another neighborhood pretty soon. :cry:

I wish I was independantly wealthy so I could move out to the boonies like that. :wink:
