I've tried the stock 650 seat, the calsci foam mod, adding beads to it, adding sheepskin to it, and adding an Airhawk to it. The Airhawk won, but I hated adjusting it all the time.

I've also tried the 1000 seat, and the gel seat.

Then I bought the Sargent seat. Problem solved permanently.

Check out there photo section. They have 2 differant V-strom seats. One of them looks like a KTM seat like you described you wanted.
