Finished up my classes at Central Massachusetts Motorcycle School yesterday and took my Wee out for about 3 hours when I got home!
It was really really cold, but she handles like a dream! I can't wait to log some serious miles this summer.
Just wanted to share my excitement! Hope to see you all out on the road!

Welcome Fladrif, CMMS is a great place to start! Every new rider should take an MSF course. Keep an eye on these two New England forums for upcoming group rides. We do quite a few each year.

Hi Fladrif,
Great to hear that you're having so much fun. They are a blast.
The New England Stromtroopers do quite a few rides during the season. They are a great bunch of riders that really enjoy riding. Keep your eyes open.
I am sure that someone will work on our first official ride of the 2007 season. Anyone, Beuller, Beuller...

Hope you're still loving your Wee. I'm over 6k miles on mine and it seems to only keep getting better.
How did you like the course? I'm looking forward to taking the NH version this summer with my wife.

Still loving it, put about 1k miles on it in the last 3 weeks. The buffeting on the highway is a pain, but I hate riding on the highway anyway. Think I'm going to need a second job to pay for all the farkles...
I honestly think the course should be required for anyone getting a license. The topics they teach seem repetitive and simple, but they are real life savers. The only complaint I have are the bikes they use. I'm a bigger guy and getting comfortable on the little 250's was no existent. The phrase that comes to mind is "A Monkey trying to ride a bananna..."
For anyone in the Central MA area I highly recommend Central Massachusetts Motorcycle School http://www.ridercourse.net/ (I have no affiliation with the school at all)
The instructors are great, and it's an awesome atmosphere for learning...
Hope to meet you all at some point soon. Starting to feel like I'm the only Strom on the roads in MA.

Most of us have figured out how to minimize the buffeting by doing something with the screen. My bike got a lot more planted after cranking up the rear pre-load all the way. I'm about 280 at the moment and carry full luggage all the time.
Then there are days like yesterday in Massachusetts after the front came through. I rode 100 miles from Braintree, MA to Keene, NH and the N/NW winds were killer, moving me over half a lane several times. The return trip after dark was a little better, but still a hyper-alert type of ride.
