ORV Permit?

Hi Gang

At the last breakfest someone brought up the ORV permit topic. I was wounding if anyone had more info on this. I dont want a ticket for not haveing one this summer and would like to know where to get one and about how much they cost.

Here's some reading on the Oregon state laws:

For Washington:

Oregon has an ATV permit, Washington has an ORV permit. For Oregon, you need an ATV permit to ride on public lands. For Washington, you don't need an ORV permit if your vehicle is licensed for the road. If you live in Washington and plan on riding off-road in Oregon with the VStrom, you need to go to Oregon and get an ATV permit. For other non-licensed rigs, there is reciprocity.

In Oregon, you need a Class 3 permit, which costs $10 for 2 years. You can get them at GI Joes, and other locations that sell hunting/fishing licenses.

Checked at Joe's, you'll need your Vin number for the ORV permit.
