Should be mixed weather tommorow, but relativly warm.

Shall we have a gathering of the Strom....

I will be at Dilar's for breakfast and kickstand up at 7:00am....

Dilar Restaurant
8704 US 12
Richmond, IL 60071

It looks like about a 4 hour ride which should put me into Utica by 11 to meet up with a few others....

This plan means I'll be around....
the Rockford Airport about 8:40 am
Byron area about 9:10 - 9:15
Oregon 9:30
Dixon 10:00

From Utica the plan is to ride through Starved rock on the south side to Senica and then the north side to Channahon...

Then I am slabing it home back north....

Well today was quite an adventure..

Kick stands where up on time and we headed out north and west of Rockford, then south to the Rock River....

Following Route 2 for a short time we visited Lowden State Park to visit "The Statue"

We met up with "the others" in North Utica (you will notice I am the only V-Strom)

And then we rode through Starved Rock, which is one Glorius strech of road, although is not long enough.

When we went through Dixon the wind picked up really good, riding down 52 on an angle that is normally saved for the curves. I love the way the V-Strom just rides through the wind like it is a wing..

It did rain on me on the way home, from when we split up after Getting to I-80 until I got home to Gurnee. Big Thumbs up for my Tourmaster jacket and pants, I was dry from head to ankle. Now I need to invest in waterproof boots.

Great Day I got it 320 miles over all.....

SeeYa (next time maybe)
