Like that's gonna happen!? Last time I lent out DVD's I never got 'em back. I wish I could remember who took 'em.
I might go to the Lake Bomoseen area and look around. It's about the only place I haven't looked.:???:

I was up in your neck of the woods Jack, but didn't see you out on the roads... I was looking for another Strom, but only saw 3 or 4 other bikes all day. One guy on a chopper in a Tshirt with the little brain bucket lid, he must have been FREEZING or too dumb to know the difference.
VT30 from Granville NY, to 4A, to 4bus through Rutland, past Killington. All the returning skiers looked at me really funny... VT100 South to Rt 11 to Londonderry, then it started raining and temps dropped to the low 40's so I hightailed it home on 7 the rest of the way.
I'm looking forward to the first Stromtrooper ride after April 21st. Heck, I'm just looking forward to after April 21st.

John you went right instead of going north Jackpiner57 stoped by today to say hi and to ride the Wee for a shake down after re adjusting the valves on it.. If you had gone 1/8 of a mile farther north to Rt. 4 rather than turning right @castleton corners and going to rutland You would have seen my house and likely toms wee .. :???: but I won't be riding till The Physical therapy people say the wrist is fit for that :( hopefully next weekend for me ;)

I rode about 6 hours up into Maine to pickup a Buell Blast for my sister inlaw. It was a cold ride, but I did test ride some of the roads for the Nova Scotia trip. And I got to put some saddle time on the new Sargent.
The Sargent is nice but different. My butt likes it, but I have more room to slide around in the saddle than with the stock seat. Hard breaking or acceleration sends me on a trip to the extents of the seat.

Might be time to stick some double sided tape to your arse.:D Maybe in a "V" formation so it doesn't look so bad? Maybe after it's broken in it won't be so slippy.
How does she like the Buell? Did you get to try it out?

Maybe I should just give my son a lolly pop and sit him on the bike.
I don't think so...

I don't think she's tried it yet. She's signed up for the MSF Course, but they don't have dates yet.
I rode it. It's small, it shakes a lot, it doesn't feel like it has any refinement what-so-ever. It had enough power and seemed like it handled the trip home fine. I think we hit indicated 75mph speeds a few times.
It feels like there should be something else in front of you. All you see is a speed-o-meter and a headlight.
Oh ya, when it's shaking it makes lots of noise.
The Ninja EX250 seems more refined and a little easier to ride than the Blast was. I like the looks of the Blast better than the little Ninja, and it sure is fun to watch the Blast shake what it's got. At idle the tail and blinkers put on a little shimmy show. I wonder if anybody makes silicone bar end weights? :???:

I think that's definitely the best idea. That should work OK until it rains. Then you'll have to get him another lollipop.
Hope she likes the Buell and rides safely!

I love the pictures. Although I'm sure the Strom would have been an easy wheelie with the bag of sunflower seeds on it's tail!
I haven't taken out my DRZ yet this year. I was really surprised how far west in VT our Tech day is. Are you on the West side too? I'd love to take the DRZ up there sometime, but I'm not riding that thing for 3.5 hours.

Rob, I'm in South Ryegate, which is near the NH border. There are some great places to ride offroad here. One place is in Monroe, NH up near Hunts Mtn. Is yours the S model? Does it have DOT knobbies? Let me know when you want to go. Maybe you, me and Dan can do a dirt day?
I am 2 hrs. from VtSTROM-K5's place.

Tomorrow (4/21/07) I am doing a local ride in NW CT with a KLR650 buddy of mine. We will probably hit the Litchfield county area.
Nice riding around them there hills, for CT anyways.
If anyone wants to join the ride, give me a holler. I'm in Rocky Hill, CT.

Jack,
Good news on the hand!!
Tomorrow, I will be staying local. Most of the Stromtroopers are much closer to you than I am and I don't wrench much. The only wrench I touched was the wrenched ankle in that game "Operation".:-D
Actually, I could wrench a bit but, usually, in a few minutes, I feel like smashing it with a sledge hammer.

Mine is the DRZ400S. Currently it has the stock TrailWings (DOT approved). I got fairly good with them last year, and kind of feel like they've made me a better rider because they don't have good traction. At the end of last year I bought a better set of tires (still DOT) but haven't mounted them yet.
I love the idea. I don't know when we can schedule it, but we should see about getting something planned with Dan. I haven't used the DRZ much since getting the Strom, so I need to use it a little more or set it free.
The eastern side of VT sounds a little better for my tender rear. Even with the gel seat it's not something I want to sit on for too long.

Yeah I want to go! This weekend is booked. But once school stuff is done then I'm free for the summer! Oh, and I bought a pickup truck, so getting somewhere good is a piece-o-cake now.

Rob, I can haul your bike with mine if you want. My WR is "street legal" too, but I wouldn't ride more than a few miles on the road with it. The only thing I think I need is a ramp to get the bikes into the bed. At some point I plan to buy one of those hitch mounted carriers.
So, you guys let me know. Tom, I'm guessing you could provide some great trails.

You guys are just making more work for me. Now I have to get my new tires mounted so that I have SOME traction.
Dan I like the idea of trailering up with you, but if I ride my bike over to you I'd have no place for a ramp! I do have a friend with a really nice ramp, and I may have a reasonable plank here at my house.
My place is a really nice loading area because my lawn has a 2 foot step to the road, that comes right off the rise of the ramp. Unfortunately logistically you would have to get two vehicles here, and I believe you're closer to Tom that I am. I'm sure we can figure something out.

Rob, I have no problem picking you up at your place, or meet you somewhere. I've decided to buy a ramp, so don't worry about having to strap one to your back for the ride over :p. Actually, I think I know a guy who's a real whiz with metal fabrication, railings, I think. Now what was his name....

I don't think Manchester is too far for me to ride the DRZ. I think I'm OK with an hour or so ride. Of course if I break the thing terribly I wouldn't mind a ride home! :o
If we give it some thought I bet that I could meet you someplace like Concord.
In fact if I just road up to my Dad's in Wolfeboro the night before it might break up the ride enough to ride to Tom's and just get a ride back with you.
Now I just need to bloody my knuckles putting the new tires on it.
