You get one of these free maps. They show all the scenic highways and National Parks in the Great State of Utah.

Thanks! I'm headed to Utah in early summer. Going to visit Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Escalante, Huntington, Tooele, Bonneville Salt Flats, and the Flaming Gorge areas. I've been collecting back country trail and other maps too.
I'm going in the Jeep Wrangler but will doing some motorcycle riding in Tooele for a couple of days.

That Bryce Canyon, Escalante trip will leave you speechless. Make sure you stay on Highway 12 up to just before Loa. Than take the the Fish Lake loop which will get you back to highway 24. Fish Lake has some really nice camping areas and it is really cool there in the summer. Make sure you have some mosquito repellant if camping out. They have some rustic log cabins you can rent out too. LOL
I live in Tooele. Where you going riding?
Here's a little You Tube clip of Zions (SouthWest from Bryce) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4skx24Vr6Oc
Be safe and enjoy

I'll be staying near Bryce Canyon for a few days as a "base camp". Mostly driving the back roads; Smokey Mountain, Cottonwood Canyon, etc. I'm also planning to do some slot canyon day hiking down "Hole in the Rock" road and environs so I'll be back and forth along Highway 12 a couple of times between Bryce and Escalante. I'm really looking forward to this trip.
When up in Tooele I'll be at Milller Motorsports Park for a couple of days at the California Superbike School as my intro to track riding.

Man you missed Zion!!!!
I rode through this area last summer on my way back from Yellowstone to San Diego.
Zion is by far the best and most scenic part of the ride. The ride from the E-W or W-E is absolutely unforgettable. If you are heading that way, make sure you ride the road through Zion early in the morning to avoid all trafic. You will not regret it even if that is all you see of Zion I assure you.

Heh, Utah just has too much to see! I'm also going to miss Arches, Moab, Canyonlands in the southeast corner of the state. 8( I guess I'll just have to start planning another vacation, huh? 8) Go ahead, just give me a reason, I dare you!

Ok who can suggest about a 5 day trip in Utah...looking at Arches, Canyonlands, Zion, possibly Grand Canyon as well. 2 bikes, K5 and K7 WEEs. Looking for probably 80/20 rides. Please help!

Is it strictly a driving tour or are you going to explore sights on foot? For example, there're are some great Slot canyons to hike down "Hole in the Rock Road" south of Escalante. This is one named Peekaboo:

and Devils' Garden down the same road is a neat place to grab a picnic meal:

Cottonwood Canyon Road, also in Grand Staircase Escalante, but closer to Bryce Canyon is a neat back road trip with some hiking opportunities as well. Sights include; Grosvenor Arch, Cottonwood Narrows Canyon, Yellow Rock ...

Needless to say, Bryce Canyon is a real treat!

If you're going to go across Highway 70 in the middle of the state a good side trip up Buckhorn Wash

http://www.futzin.com/Summer2007/img040.jpeg.html
into the San Rafael Swell to "The Wedge" overlook (Utah's Grand Canyon):

Note that some of these roads above are pretty desolate. One of the better guide books for backcountry roads I've used is "Backcountry Adventures Utah"; ISBN 1-930193-12-2
