My friend "flakker" is attempting to join the non-so-exclusive club of Wee owners. I've just posted a WTB link the Classified section, please respond there if you know of any deals on a used Wee anyplace in NE.

For what it's worth we're getting another one anyway. My step brother (Stromtrooper name unknown to me) is supposed to be picking his Wee up tomorrow. So if you're looking for someone to blame for this snow, my money is on the guy getting the new-to-him bike!

I'm betting we're going to see a lot of new faces there year. Feel free to chime in on this thread and de-lurk.

Are any of you new guys going to do some of the touring trips with us this year? Anybody own an ABS model yet, I'm sure everybody is curious.

Last week showed us some nice riding days. I think we need to wait until the end of the upcoming week to see any more.

I guess I'll go home and move that lawn tractor and plow back to the prime door position in the garage.

I think we need to start some kind of harsh initiation ritual to keep out this kind of riff-raff.;)

No really, sounds great RedAnt. Welcome to all new Strommers.:D

I was expecting to read that you and Mrs. RedAnt were going to produce a Baby RedAnt (Wee Trooper);)

Actually we have one of those. In fact I just ordered the child riding harness last week so he might actually be allowed on the Strom. He's been on the DRZ and loves to ride around my Dad's farm, and our lawn. I've not wanted to take him on the road until I bought one of these safety belts that straps him to my back.

This year he'll be five. Last year he fit the rear pegs on the DRZ very well, but still couldn't touch them on the Strom. If we can get comfortable with him riding I'll be able to take the bike to work more, as I have to pick him up on my way home. I might even take him on an overnight trip camping someplace.

I doubt the family will be doing any touring. Anne may get her license this spring, but we're not likely to get a third bike and the DRZ isn't comfortable enough for a long ride. Someday maybe Anne will want her own Strom, but for now she's happy to be hanging out back there relaxed.

Good choice! Here's mine at yesterday's place of employment, Notre Dame des Canadiens in Worcester, MA. I'm up to 18,000 miles now.
