Hello all Strommers in the PDX & SW Washington area. I will have a Yosh Box for a few days to do tweeking and tuning on my bike. I would be happy to share. The box will be arriving today 3/14/2007 and will ship out Saturday 3/17/2007
This is on loan from John over at the V-Strom Forum, so all tweeking will be done at my house. There are others waiting for it so this will be a limited time deal. if you are interested PM me.

Ok, so I'm a noob to this FI stuff, and I see people talking about "Yosh"ing their bike off and on, but really, Im clueless...
What is a Yosh box, what does it do, and why would I want to do it (other than "everyone else is doing it ;) )?
Thanks for tolerating a noobie question

Mirage,
The yosh box is a tuning tool that allows you to adjust the fuel maps on your bike, and it can be reversed if needed. It is helpful in curing the overly lean condition prevelant on the DL1000. Some owners use a power commander others use a Techlusion tuning box. These later mentioned items are permanently mounted to the bike and allow the user to tune his/her bike at will. I'm yoshing mine to adjust for a mild lean condition and aftermarket pipes, as I do not wish to purchase a power commander to do the same thing. As a side note, everyone I know that has a power commander can't and won't leave the F&*$'N thing alone. They are always messing with the maps and never seem to be happy. Sometimes the KEYBOARD RACERS out here on the forums seem to add to the problem, by professing to have the latest hot rod map. I have kept my focus on improving my bike while keeping it simple and as affordable as possible. I would not be yoshing if Suzuki had this thing running as smooth as I know they can, so I'll do it myself. Welcome to the gang, there are alot of great people here willing to help any way they can. I hope that answers your question.

I get it now. I've heard folks talking about PCIII tweaking and others Yoshing, but didn't understand they did pretty much the same thing, just diff in what is left behind.
