Default deleting a post

I accidentally duplicated a post and then tried to edit/delete it.

I can edit it but it won't delete.

Even erasing all the text doesn't work because it says you can't have a post with less than 10 characters....... what am I missing here

I've closed the duplicate thread but left it as there were followups. To delete a thread, you need admin help. As the OP, you can edit or close a thread but you aren't allowed to delete it as you could be deleting replies from others.

Why not merge the two threads and delete one of the duplicates? I use this method as it combines all replies into a single thread.

Laziness. Both are available to read, the closed thread has a link to the open one and there wasn't much going on in the closed one.
