Default Help to unsubscribe from $tromtrooper Premium

I received an email informing me that my Premium Subscription was about to expire. Since I am selling my bike and no longer visiting this forum I ignored the message which said if I did nothing my subscription would be cancelled.
Last week my Paypal account was charged $20 for renewal, not something I requested or need.
I would like some help in stopping my subscription. I can't find any mechanism to do so and I don't want to be charged $20 a year for eternity.
Other than registering a dispute with Paypal can anyone tell me how to stop my Premium membership please?
Thanks...Ian

You need to go to your PayPal account and uncheck the the auto payment to this website. It's a little tricky to do but it can be done. Do a search here and there is a thread about how to do this.

Thanks...I had tried searching this site for a procedure but I couldn't find any information related to cancellation. This is the only subscription I have with my Paypal account so I was unfamiliar with their cancellation process.
I appreciate the help....Ian

Want to stay a paying member but was double charged. Somehow (my doing I am sure) I have two credit cards linked to verticalscope, was charge twice, $20 on each card. Once on 1/19/13, again on 1/21/13. They must charge per card number on hand instead of by member name?

How do I get reimbursed for the one charge, and then have only one card linked to verticalscope? I could just deny the charges for one of them but that may just make things worse.

See the above info on how to cancel your PayPal subscription. The PayPal donation charge is a yearly subscription. Unless you cancel it, there is a yearly charge on the original credit card. When you donated again, you added a second subscription. Fix your PayPal account so it fits your intention. Send a PM to Administrator for a refund.

The same thing has happened to me, I was not notified, just charged to my account.

Very bad business practice, I am certain you will lose members as a result of this.

Unfortunately, PayPal does not make it very clear that we're signing up for periodic payments--yearly in this case. The best thing for everyone to do is to sign up with PayPal, make the payment, then immediately cancel the PayPal action so it won't be charged again until we do the whole routine over again. Anyway, that's how I do it. The subscription fee to stromtrooper.com is worth the money to me, but I want control.
