Crate engines for those of us who want a new engine and not buying new ones piece by piece! Or taking a chance with a used one...
Much easier to buy new replacement when needed and parting out the skeleton of the old motor than doing stuff by hand!

I believe Kcwiro is posting this here in the feedback to Suzuki section because he wants them to offer such a thing, because as far as we know, they don't exist....I don't believe he is selling any

They do not.. I am in the boat and I wanted to know my cost to buy a new motor from the dealer... they do not have one... I was like sheesh I can order a crate for my rally car from Subaru... why Suzuki thinks motorcycles would not need such a option is beyond me! ... Believe it or not some would use that option and part out what is not ruined just the same... WAKE UP SUZUKI there is a market for this! Piecemeal really sucks when you have to split cases and get it all apart before having to wait some 10-15 days for the new parts in pieces to arrive.. it is a joke!... Sorry I am still ticked as a stupid mistake likely cost me my engine and not being able to find a used one yet it has ticked me off like no other!

Too small of a market for them, not worth their time. Harley has crate engine, and S&S and others for very good reasons. Bikes like these are throw away bikes for the most part, and how many custom bikes are made with a Strom engine?

I disagree if they saw it that way why make spare parts I don't see this bike as a throw away. ... all I'm asking is one step further over what they do and offer an assembled engine for purchase not like they don't have all the parts to do it already...

Suzuki do.
Hey, zero financing through January 1 on selected models! Do other motorcycle manufacturer's sell crate motors? (tee shirt companies who just happen to have bikes for sale in their boutiques don't count)

Suzuki probably considers that they sort of sell one. It just has a frame, seat, tires and new title with it.

A crate engine would probably half the cost of a new bike.
