hi ive all so a k7 v strom had no problems with suzu lugagge thir is a little twist lock in side all the cases as a safety featuer turn it to open and you can unlock the cases i hope this helps

My locks were very stiff too, but I sprayed a little silicone lub in there and they are smooth as butter now.

if you decide to go aftermarket, consider hepco and becker gobis. they are made of strange but tough plastic and do not deform everytime they touch something like aluminum boxes do. you can find them used fairly easily, but since they come standard on some ktm models, the boxes have the ktm logo on them, which can be easily covered with a sticker or two.
