Has Anybody Seen One Yet?

Suzuki says they should be in dealerships this month... at least that's what several articles I've read claim. Who will be the first to spot one?

I was hoping for yellow but the base model will only be available in white. The XT will be available in both black and yellow.

The 2017 Gixxers are on the floor, 600 and 750. 1000 isn't yet. Busa is out.

Local dealer told me anytime now through March...

Another dealer said they start in the south since they can still ride this early. Not sure if this is BS or not.

CW said Feb for the std version and Mar for the XT version.

Hey Rich!!

Well I'll be at the Strom-a-thon In April even if I have to ride the Beemer. But hoping to have another Strom by then. I'm kicking myself for selling mine but it'll be fun to start over. I'd love to be the first one with a 17 model

The only thing better than having the first 17 model, is having the first YELLOW model

That one extra horsepower and yellow will make that bike scream now...oh yeah, don't forget the spokes and the 12v in dash outlet, cornering will be even better, and my goodness how those features will make braking even better than earlier models.

I like the design but not enough for me to sell or trade my 2013 Wee and take a big loss. Took my bike out the other day and remembered how good its treated me and has never let me down for what I've asked of it. I've test rode the 2016 Vee, yes its got loads of power but for me, the weight, cornering were negatives in my book and the power, well that would just lead to speeding tickets and me taking bigger risks.

I'll test ride the new 2017 Wee and see if there's any big differences but for me it would have to be much better suspension and better brakes that my Wee model. One change I was hoping for was for Suzuki to put more weight lower down on the bike and the best way is to lower the fuel storage tank like BMW did. It would mean probably rear frame and shock changes. A portion of the current fuel tank would make good trunk space and eliminate tank bags.

Both the current 650 and 1000 V-Twins are great motors, an 800 with the same weight as the 650 would I think have created a bigger buzz than the colour yellow for those seeking to buy a Vstrom for the 1st time or wanting to trade in their earlier versions of the bike.

Just my two bits.

Should be any day now (showing up at the dealers).

Got mine (paid for) on the 3rd of March in 2012. Picked it up at the end of the month.

I Caved: Got a new 16

Well, I got such a great deal on a new silver 2016 that could not justify another $3-4k for a new 17 for just for the cosmetics...

$6200 from Action Powersports in Tulsa. Zero dealer charges. I flew up and rode her back to Fort Worth, 287 miles.

Let the farkeling begin!
