Could this be the end of using beads to balance tires? US Congress passed this: The bill, called the Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015, was first introduced into the House back in March. It would ban companies from using microbeads.
How large are Dynabeads? The wikipedia article above says anything less than 5 mm, or about 3/16" in diameter. I'm assuming the ban would have specific size limitations.
Dynabeads are ceramic, not plastic. I'm not sure they would be considered microbeads as defined by the new regulation. I think part of the problem with the plastic microbeads is that they float. I think dynabeads would sink and be similar to sand.
Dynabeads are 0.8mm ~ 1.0mm so no worries. I've been using them for years in all my front tires (from Burgman to Goldwing) and swear by them, never had problems such as leaks in the valve stem. Sorry for bringing this up without doing research...............
