Chain/sprocket set

Howdy all. New to the forums here. I have a 2012 dl650 and wondering what a good chain/sprocket set to replace my stock ones with. I want to keep the stock tooth count. Im sure there are multiple threads addressing this but cant seem to get a good answer. Thank you!

I've always been able to save money by buying the components separately on eBay.

My preference has been JT sprockets and EK chains.

JT Sprockets are:

Front: JTF520.15 - rumor has it they're now making one with a rubber damper like the stock one has. Maybe someone can chime in.
Rear: JTR1792.47

EK Chain is:
EK 525SRX2, from which you'll need to remove a link or two.

If you don't have what you need to need to rivet the new chain, you can get a screw-type masterlink for the EK. Otherwise there are plenty of other good choices from various manufacturers.

Indeed, cheap chains are junk. My FZ1 came with a brand new cheap chain, don't think it lasted 20k km. DID is good quality and what most bikes use for OEM.

Just today received that DID kit posted above, well the 004 labeled kit for my '06.

'06 V-Strom 650 - 50k km, putputput
'06 KTM 625 SMC - 20k km, braaaap
'07 FZ1 - 70k km, in the shop...
'06 FZ6 - 115k km, sold
