What da heck iz dis?

I've been meaning to ask - it was in the panniers on my bike when I bought it new.
2015 DL650 Adventure. Not a clue what these two sheets are - they don't glow, don't reflect??
Anyone know?

Maybe you remove each rectangle from the injected molding frame and glue/stick then in the pannier to act as some kind of interior bumper?

With imagination and a love for HP Lovecraft, you could get 2 stickers that kinda read "CTHULU" out of the sheet...

You clip those on the swingarm protruding into the wheel spokes. When you move it makes it sound like a motorcycle.

If in both panniers I'd say something to keep stored items off the bottom a bit.

Crazy - my locks don't rattle. Where would these things go?

Now where the panniers mount rattled like crazy. So I took some aquarium air tubing, cut about a 1.5" length, slit down the middle and glued them to the pannier "slots" that slide over the mounting studs. Much like the edging on the windscreen.
Fixed it. Man I hate rattling and clanking down the road... My dad always told me that noise represented mechanical energy and it usually wasn't a good thing over time.
