Easiest solution would probably be tape of some sort.. Maybe a couple/few layers of "flat" scotch tape right over the light would take the edge off but still remain visible during the day. Probably have to replace tape every now and then, but can't beat the cost if it works.
I had some black retroreflective tape and a hole punch. Cut a circle out of that the same size as the LED bezel, placed it with a pair of tweezers and pushed it on.
Almost noticeable mod, and all the high beam indicator is now is a thin ring of blue light. It's been on there four years now.
Great idea. I was thinking of translucent nail polish but the solvents would probably permanently damage the plastic. The brightness of the indicator light almost overpowers your desire to turn on the high beams at night.
I'm using Post-it Flags. I cut off about a 1 cm square of the clear frosted part and as many layers as needed to attenuate the light. I picked these because they are easy to remove when I sell my car or bike. Other ideas probably work better but may become resistant to removal.
The high beam indicator light is glaring to the point of being unsafe. One of the first mods I did to my glee was to take a black "Sharpie" marker and apply several coats of ink directly to the blue plastic lens.
So, everyone's being driven mad by stupidly bright high beam light. I stuck a circle of black insulating tape over mine and I can still see the blue light through the tape - at about the right level of brightness. Did Suzuki ever ride the bike at night on high beam? Such a simple thing to correct - come on Suzuki.
I guess Suzuki designed it to be seen during noon day sun.
