2016 dl 650 $6,300 new !

Is the new 2017 dl 650 worth full price when I can get a new 2016 dl650 for $6,300 ?
And, would a 2016 dl 1000 closeout beat a new 2017
Dl 650.
I have a gen 1, 2012 dl1000 that I have grown to love.
Hated it at first until I fixed everything Suzuki should have fixed but didn't.
Thanks troopers!

I love my '16, been a great touring and commuting bike, but I have to admit the new styling looks awesome.
Proly going to be looking for one of those when mine is worn out.

(edit) Also want to wait and see what farkles will carry over to the new ones. So far I don't think the side racks and case mounts are the same.

I just got one for $7400 otd. Not bad since tax in CA isn't low. Been getting the bike ready for off road fun with lots of help from this place.

I'm having the same dilemma over the older model 650. The upgrades for 2017 are visually great, but lacking in substance. I'm leaning toward an older model and using the leftover money to add luggage that already fits the older model year.

I hate when dealers advertise like this. I guarantee there will be at least $2000 added to the price between, tax, freight and prep, and dealer fees. I went through this a few times looking for a new leftover.
