Default What Size Chain?

Anyone ever convert the chain on the wee to a smaller size? I'm thinking less drag = more power to the rear wheel. And that = more fun 4 me!

Or am I over thinking this?

You'll never notice the difference except for chain life.

consider changing sprockets to get a different gear ratio,

fewer teeth in front or more teeth in back will give you better acceleration

.
Or you could simply install an old-fashioned non-O-ring chain, a la racetrack.

For a short life and a merry one? Probably not ~ your chain [and sprockets] life would be be short, but I doubt that you would be all that much merrier, for your performance gain is unlikely to be very much more than 1 horsepower.

Still, that would be a relatively cheap option, if you are itching to see what a change will do.
