Twisted Throttle Discount on Wee Rally Crashbars/Engine Guards

Due to a factory packing error we have received a shipment of SW-MOTECH Rally Crashbars/Engine Guards for the DL650 V-Strom with POTENTIAL scratches, chips, and rub marks on the powder coated finish. The structural integrity of these bars is not being called into question.

They are the new improved style and structurally perfect. What happened is that the proper packing instructions were not followed and there was a minimal layer of material placed between the bars. The factory contact US to tell us of the error. we opened two packages to see what was wrong with them. one set was perfect and the other set had some scratching of the finish.

What this means for you is a 20% discount. here is a link to the DISCOUNTED BARS if you would rather the regularly priced bars that have a guaranteed, perfect finish follow THIS LINK

On the discounted bars all sales are final for finish issues. Warranty claims for structural defects will be considered for returns.

Thanks Twisted

I just have to ask how many sets did you recive that were possibly scratched/dented-?

I would love a set but I don't think my 2004 with 50K miles wants them since it is very sctratched already, OK very very dug up on the left and small to very small scratched on the right side. The reason I ask is I could use them on my next Wee in a few years possibly plus I need a OK from my wife--my accountant/purser.

I was thinking more of a discount when I saw the post, but thats just my way of thinking. Maybe less than $100 US.

Thank You Twisted Throttle for a nice offer. You all have been wonderful to me in the past-!!! Love my new SW-MOTECH center stand. It fit perfectly on the 2004 Wee and works just right.

I'll keep checking back as I wear my wife down .... If only crash bars were more of a safety item ... not for the bike but for me.

You might be able to argue that they give you a little more of a pocket between the bike, the road, and your ankle.

That's a heckuva buy. The SW-Motech products are of very high quality. I don't have their bars, but have checked them out on three different occasions at the motorcycle shows. Just throwing a bit of love towards the hard working Twisted crew.

The scratch we're talking about shows up on some, but not all, of the bars made on a specific pack date.

The scratch is usually on the underside of the bar and is about the size of a pencil eraser, if it's there at all. Hit I with a little rattle can paint, and they'll be black.

Why 20% discount? When we figured out how much it would cost in labor materials to make them right, we figured there might be some Stromtroopers that would rather have a discount and spray a little paint on the spot. It's faster for us, cheaper for you, than if we unwrap and repowdercoat the lot.

Our oops is your gain. Yeehaw!

Are you talking about a scratch like this? My bars came like that in September, just didn't feel like it was a major issue. So I said nothing.

If so, 20% off sounds like a great deal! Especially for such a small imperfection like that.

I'll tell you this, no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.

I've been wanting to get the crash bars and skid plate in preparation for a trip to Alaska and this was perfect timing. Ordered the pair a few minutes ago. I can't wait to get them installed!

Thanks Twisted Throttle!
