Colour question (slightly ridiculous...)

Hello everyone,

I'm the proud owner of a new-to-me 2011 Weestrom, and loving every minute of it. However, I have a ridiculous question that I know this forum can answer.

My bike is Orange. I know the Wee2 of 2012 came in Fox Orange, but it's a drastically different colour. I've scoured the web, I've searched the forums...

Can anyone tell me what Suzuki's name for this orange was when they released it? Was it simply orange?

Like I said... slightly ridiculous...

2011 Wee-strom and loving it.

It's Candy Max Orange. http://www.colorrite.com/wizardresults.cfm

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014+ DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012+ DL650s

Greywolf himself answering! Thank you, oh knowledgeable one!

Truly, I've been lurking on the forums a while... your depth of understanding of these bikes is nothing short of amazing. Thanks for taking the time to answer a no0bie's question.

2011 Wee-strom and loving it.

It's interesting ( to me, anyhow) that the different national markets got different colors over the model years.

The US 2011, L1 Wee models came in only Black and White. Of course their were no 2010 US models. The Candy Max orange color was offered on US models in 2009. ( per John Weldon's old post on VSRI).

John was the undisputed king of V-Strom knowledge. His death stopped the yearly progression of one of my favorite threads. DL650 Through the Years!

I went there first but 2011 was not included so the next step was the Color Rite web site.

Well, I guess here in Canada, we did get it. And for those wanting pictures, here is a terrible one as it was pouring so I took it from a distance to save my phone:
