Default Laser Duo-tech exhaust on 07Wee?

I just bought a 2007 Dl650 and I love the bike. I drove 15000 km last Year with a Dl1000 and traded the bike a couple of months ago for a BMW Montauk. I Really like the BMW but I missed The V-strom and the gravel roads. So now I have 2 bikes again.
The 650 is much more fun than the 1000 and the only thing I really miss is the Leo Vince exhaust. I found a Laser Dou-Tech exhaust that used to be on a 06 Wee. Will the Laser fit my 07? I also have the Suzuki original crash bar and skidplate.

Why do you like the 650 better than the 1000? I'm shopping for a Strom now and I've been thinking I needed the bigger bike because I'm a heavy guy(240lbs). I bought my 1st bike last Summer and have had 3 since. I don't want to make a mistake again.
I started with a Suzuki Volusia(C50), then to a Kawasaki Nomad, a Harley Street Glide, now I'm looking for something lighter and more fun to ride, but also comfortable for 1500 mile trips.
Thanks for any input you have....Mike.

I'm not sure about the full system, but it seems that slipons have two different fitments for 04-06 and 07+. That makes me think that something changed...

I'm about the same weight and my lil' Wee doen't have any problems with me on it... Granted it doesn't have the acceleration of my Concours C14, but it's far more nimble and still quite capable of taking me (comfortably) on long trips... Oh, and the Wee is without a doubt, a lot of fun!!!

No.
The 04-06 exhaust and the 07-08 exhaust systems are different and not interchangeable.

if the exhaust system is a full system it will work but if it is a slip on no way. 04-06 is a round port where the pipes collect and 07 and up are oval

Default hell

I am 6'5" and 335lbs. in gear and the wee hauls me and 70 lbs. of stuff all the time, the interstate at 80mph is no problem. and I live in the mts. of east tn. ps I get about 49.8mpg except in the winter or pushing in the higher elevs.

But yes I do know how and when to shift. I like to keep it 5k or up esp. in the city.

and yes the wee will do 100,000mi+ carrying this load at least the 04 did, and the 06 is better than 1/4 the way there as well.

by the way I have had 2 wees, and a vee (never really liked the 1k)
