I was just curious if anyone has painted the silver exhaust heat shield? If so could you post some pics.

I have done this myself before on other bikes that I have owned and the results have been good, I'm still trying to decide what to do on my Orange 2012.

You could use primer and BBQ paint to make it black. I don't think that plastic gets anywhere near warm even though.

I bought some primer and some engine enamel in matte black...looks much better.

I used a high heat exhaust spray paint (ceramic) on the header pipe and heat shield. I did this shortly after buying the bike in April and it is holding up well.





I barely recognize the bike in the pics...too clean!

I painted mine black with plastic specific paint it held up well but now I did this....
