Default Paint exhaust heat shield

First post, many more to follow!

I was just curious if anyone has painted the silver exhaust heat shield? If so could you post some pics.

I have done this myself before on other bikes that I have owned and the results have been good, I'm still trying to decide what to do on my Orange 2012.

You could use primer and BBQ paint to make it black. I don't think that plastic gets anywhere near warm even though.

I used truck bed liner on my K8. Did two coats, happy with the result. ImageUploadedByMotorcycle1353455853.825880.jpg

I used a high heat exhaust spray paint (ceramic) on the header pipe and heat shield. I did this shortly after buying the bike in April and it is holding up well.

I barely recognize the bike in the pics...too clean!

I had my bike less than 2 months when I did this.

Is the paint on the exhaust pipe still holding up?
