Default Wrong spark plug -Big deal or not !

I went yesterday to the dealer to change my spark plugs and adjust the valves at 19 000Km on my 2012 V-Strom (I know it is a bit late for the plugs and early for the valves)..

Here is my point...my dealer did not use the exact NGK plug... instead of the recommanded CR7EIA-9 he put the CR8E.

From what I say on the internet site of NGK, the CR8E is the one recommanded for the DL 650A up to 2009...

Does it make a big difference... Should I get those revoved ?

According to my service manual, the recommended plug is the CR8EIA-9. The colder plug is the CR9EIA-9 and the hotter plug is the CR7EIA-9. A colder plug is used if the standard plug erodes the electrodes too quickly while a hotter plug is used if the standard plug tends to foul. They are all Iridium plugs and the proper heat range plug is good for at least 60,000 miles in typical service.

Recommended is the 8 heat range. He just put in the cheaper non iridium plug in. I put in some cheap 9 heat range plugs and kept the iridium stockers.

Should be OK.

The CRE8E is a non Iridium plug. It will be okay for about 20,000 miles.

The valves were perfect. No adjustment.
Now I do think that I changed those plugs a bit too early .... but it was an easy time to have them replaced.
My V-Strom is now ready for the next summer (Montréal,Canada).

Does anyone know the difference between the CR8EIA-9 (New 2012+ plug) and the CR8EIX (older 2004-2011 plug). I have some new CR8EIX's that never got put on my K7 Wee. I was planning on installing them on my Glee, come valve-check time. I know they are both Iridium and the same heat range.
