I am looking to run a line down the right side of bike. can i do this if I just remove the large cover on right side or do I have to remove more.

I assume you are talking about a wire. If so, I had no trouble running two wires from the battery to the front of the bike, by just removing the side panel on the tank. Easy

I ran several wire bundles on my bike inside the left frame (clutch side for clarity), following the factory wire bundles. I used a flexible pick-up tool to fish through the parts you can't see (frame and gas tank), and grabbed a string, I pulled the string through then taped the string to the end of the wire and pulled that through. I fit several shielded wire harnesses like this.
Look inside the left front fairing behind and below the lights and you'll see a big wire harness there - just follow that. |

Also ran a couple of wires front to battery area following the existing bundle. I twisted the 2 wires together, neater and will not hang up when pulling thru tight spots.
